Mentawai Food Sustainability Program
Due to it's remote location, having the means, land and funds to farm land for vegetables, fruit and other types of food has previously been a difficult challenge to overcome. In 2021, The Kandui Foundation donated land to the Siberut area and Pei Pei Village area with the intent of having the land farmed and the corresponding crops sold within the local Mentawai Market. The Kandui Foundation currently places it's efforts with 2 directives.
