Although the Mentawais has plenty of land to farm on, still, locals and resorts all throughout the Mentawais import their fruits and vegetables from the mainland. A work in progress for sure, our farming program gives Mentawaiians the opportunity to grow and sell their crops locally which would benefit everyone involved.
